Delete your account

You can delete your pitchd account yourself, from inside the app, at any time. This page explains how, and exactly what happens to your data afterwards.

Applies to pitchd (team.pitchd.app), published by Softlify doo. Last updated: 31 August 2026.

Delete it from inside the app

  1. Open pitchd and sign in, if you are not already.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Tap Delete account, at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Type DELETE in the confirmation field — the button stays disabled until it matches.
  5. Tap the confirm button. The deletion happens straight away and you are signed out.

No password is needed — being signed in is the proof. There is no undo, no grace period, and no way to restore an account afterwards.

If you can no longer open the app

If you have uninstalled pitchd or cannot sign in, email hello@pitchd.team from the address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. Sending from that address is how the request is checked, so a request from any other address will be refused rather than guessed at. The account is then deleted exactly as described below, within 30 days of the request and normally much sooner.

What is removed

All of this happens immediately, as part of the deletion itself:

  • Your name, which is replaced with “Deleted User”.
  • Your email address, which is replaced with a placeholder that cannot receive mail. The real address is freed, so it can be used to open a new account later.
  • Your phone number and profile picture.
  • Your password, and the link to your Google or Apple sign-in.
  • Every registered device, so no further push notifications are sent to you.
  • Your notification history and notification preferences.
  • Every sign-in session. You are signed out on all devices at once, and an already-open session stops working immediately rather than when it would have expired.
  • Your place on every group roster, and any invitation you were holding for a session that has not happened yet — so you do not block a spot someone else could take.

What is kept, and why

pitchd works by ranking players against each other on their history together, so a group's record cannot be unpicked one member at a time without changing everyone else's. These stay, no longer attached to anything that identifies you:

  • The attendance record of sessions you already took part in — who was invited, who played, who did not show up. It stays attached to the anonymised record, shown as “Deleted User”.
  • The Loyalty Scores calculated from that history. Other members are ranked relative to it, so removing your past attendance would silently change their standing.
  • Cost-split records for sessions that already happened, for the same reason.
  • Events you organised. They are not cancelled or deleted, and they carry on with the organiser shown as “Deleted User”. If you do not want that, delete those events yourself before deleting your account.

How long the anonymised record is kept

Indefinitely. Deleting your account does not remove the underlying record — it strips the personal data out of it and leaves the rest in place, permanently, so the sessions you played remain part of your group's history. What remains holds no name, email address, phone number, picture or sign-in credential, and nothing in it identifies you.

If you want that record removed as well, and not merely anonymised, write to hello@pitchd.team and say so. Because it is shared history rather than yours alone, that is handled case by case.

Signing up again

Your email address is released when the account is deleted, so you can create a new pitchd account with the same address whenever you like. It starts empty: a new account is not reconnected to the deleted one, and none of the earlier history comes back with it. The same is true if you sign in again with the same Google or Apple account.
