Questions about pitchd, what it does, and what to expect at launch.
-
What is pitchd?
A small app that helps recreational sports groups run themselves: invitations that go out in a sensible order, replacements queued automatically, a transparent Loyalty Score per player, and a clean per-person cost breakdown after each session.
-
When does it launch?
It is in active development right now. Android comes first: the release signing key is in place and the app goes to Play Internal testing as soon as the developer account finishes verification. iOS follows afterwards via TestFlight. Dates will appear on this page once they are confirmed.
-
Is it free?
The base app is free, and the features that matter to a player — being invited, replying, taking an open spot, seeing your Loyalty Score and what you owe — will stay free. A paid tier for organisers may come later, covering things like multiple organisers per event and attendance analytics. Nothing about pricing or naming is settled.
-
How do invitations work?
When you create an event, pitchd invites players in a priority order based on the Loyalty Score. If someone declines, the next person in the queue is invited automatically. The organiser does not have to chase replacements in a chat group.
-
What is the Loyalty Score?
A per-player score that blends attendance rate, total appearances, response speed, and no-show rate. The organiser ranks each factor as Low, Medium, or High importance, and the score is recomputed when the organiser triggers it from the Loyalty hub.
-
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile, then Delete account. This anonymises your personal data, revokes your refresh tokens, and removes registered devices. Attendance history that the rest of the group depends on is retained but stops being linked to identifiable personal data. The Delete account page, linked in the footer, sets out every step and exactly what is removed and what is kept.
-
How do I report something in a group — content or someone’s behaviour?
Email hello@pitchd.team and say which event it concerns. This is the route the app links to from Profile → Report a problem, and it reaches a person, not a queue. pitchd has no public feed and no messaging: everything written in it — event names, venue, notes, the payment note, the name of a guest an organiser adds — is visible only to the members of that one event, who were invited to it. That keeps the surface small, and it is why a reported item can be dealt with directly rather than moderated at scale. An organiser can remove a player or a guest from their own event at any time without contacting us.
-
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Email hello@pitchd.team. That does not change at launch — bug reports and feature requests come to the same address, and there is no separate form inside the app.
Contact
For anything not covered above, email hello@pitchd.team. A real human reads everything sent there.
The mailbox is hosted on the project domain and may take a day or two to reply during pre-launch.
